Initially, we like to meet you and get to know you, your likes and dislikes. As an interior design consultancy, we discuss your specific needs and interior ideas. Over coffee, we discuss your design requirements and generate ideas. We meet in person or in a virtual meeting, whichever you feel most comfortable.
INNOVATIVE INTERIOR DESIGN
While we suggest grand ideas, these are initial creative concepts. Good innovative interior design is about considering the interior space and how each element relates to the environment. It’s about layering, which often takes some thought and time to develop a design, including creating a mood, pulling fabric and colour swatches together. To create a concept board, which shows how each piece as a collection relates.
CREATIVE DESIGNS
In other words, creative design takes time. An actual interior design consultation takes longer than a 2-hour consultation. Creative interior designers instinctively stand in a room and feel what it needs. Given time, we turn an initial concept into a more interesting one. You deserve our best designs, and we need time to make sure our ideas work for you.

INTERIOR DESIGN CONSULTATION
There is no physical altering of the interior space during the initial design consultation. It means we don’t hang art or rearrange any furniture. We also do not provide any notes, paint colour suggestions, etc.
The design fee excludes the design consultation. Or any future design project should you decide to work with us. The initial design consultation fee is paid for by you. It covers our time to travel to your home and provide you with design expertise.
Your creative interior design consultation plays an integral part in the design process. It allows us to establish the foundations, and you to gain ideas, guidance, and resources. Our design experts help you make decisions and move towards the next step.

MEET JANE VERITY-SMART, FOUNDER
Jane is creative and resources inspirational interior design concepts at Via Interiors. With vast experience and specialist knowledge of residential and commercial architecture and interior design.
Her commitment to each design project is clear from the start. The interior design consultation works at every sensory level, tailoring the design to suit each project through our creative imagination. Throughout each project, the fastidious design quality of our delivery is second-to-none. We oversee design and construction progress onsite to guarantee expectations are on time and within budget.
Jane is a specialist interior designer for dementia care. Qualifications and courses include:
- Interior Design degree, Newcastle
- ‘Stirling University Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC), Design School, London’. Covering relevant aspects of dementia interior design. Including best practice, designing complementary outside spaces. And the importance of lighting and the impact of sound.
- 3-Dimensional Design OND. Covering Interior Design, Furniture, and Product Design.
When Jane isn’t working, she spends time with her family. Her hobbies include interior refurbishment and upcycling furniture. And keeping fit by cycling, running, Pilates and wild swimming.
