WMG COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN
At WMG, Commercial Interior Design began to progress the growing business. We delivered a fresh interior for a boardroom suite, meeting facilities, breakout areas, and offices.
Ex-Machina Interior Design and Styling
The ‘Ex-Machina’ Film inspired the styling of the boardroom suite concept. With exposed concrete walls and ceiling, natural materials and defined spaces breaking up space. We stripped back the shell and discovered existing concrete walls. We adapted the design to add authenticity and styling.
Space consists of a kitchen with a concrete island with pop-up power and data points in the bespoke kitchen that create an informal breakout space; a handmade kitchen with a farrow and ball finish. Glass features tiles and copper accessories.
A Boardroom with large TV and oak feature surround with LED feature lighting. We designed a bespoke twelve-seater boardroom table with Eames-style black leather chairs and copper pendants. To sub-divide the space, we created a custom powder-coated steel mesh floor-to-ceiling screen.
An additional four-person breakout space with hand-inked illustrations features concrete pendants and a large palm to soften the area.
Office Interior Design and refurbishment
The breakout lounge area features a slate-tiled contemporary electric feature fireplace, leather sofa and armchairs, coffee tables with table lamps to create a relaxed, informal mood. The biophilic feature wall provides acoustic benefits with contrasting white pebbles that establish diversity against the parquet oak floor and adjacent materials and textures. Above, we renovated the existing roof light with oak slats to create incredible light and shade in the space.
Designing the lighting, we carefully created focal points with focussed light fittings and reduced natural light. We made an intimate ambient space for layering the interior, with exposed lighting, mechanical and electrical, all adding to the sense of freedom. Featuring natural materials such as leather, wood, and glass creates a poignant experience.
